PURCHASE—STRINGER.—On January 7, 1939, at St. Theresa Church, Karori, by the Rev. Father Nolan, Malsie, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stringer, West Coast, to Bernard, fourth son of Mr. and Mrs. James Purchase, Makara.
SMITH—LEWIS.—At AH Saints' Church, Kilbirnle, on December 17, 1938, the marriage was solemnised by the Rev. A. T. B. Page, between Edith Sarah, elder daughter of Mrs. E. Lewis, Wellington, and the late Mr. S. E. Lewis, to Hugh McKinnon, son of Mrs. A. Smith, Dunedin, and the late Mr. J. B. Smith.
