SURVEYS TO BE MADE
AREAS IN TANGANYIKA

| Asked in the Commons if the Gov* I eminent had prepared plans for the | settlement of refugees in Tanganyika* |the Colonial Secretary stated that th© [Government of Tanganyika had ordered surveys to be carried out in areas which offered the best possibility ol settlement. He was awaiting the result of those surveys.
He added that it would necessarily be some time before the reports were received, but as soon as they were available voluntary refugee organisations would be invited to send representatives to inspect any area which the Governor might suggest for examination. ' . '
