FOR SUMMER FLOWERS Tried out tentatively in England for summer floral decorations, flower-lovers are finding the tiered vases—specially designed for bold display—ideal now that the long-stemmed flowers are making their appearance, writes a London correspondent. They can be had in four shapes in ofl-white pottery, constructed with the two or three top tiers open at the base, so that all the flowers receive an adequate supply of water. Utmost effect is given to the beauty of the blossoms, the arrangement of which is facilitated by the fluted edges of the deep bowls. Anyone can dress these vases, which lend themselves well to the treatment of gladioli and hydrangeas, in bold massed groupings and colour schemes that have a most professional air. They give cheery welcome in the hall, and are also good 'for landings and dull corners of rooms.
