ARREST IN NEW YORK
ASSOCIATE OF MUSICA

NEW YORK, December 21
Benjamin Simon, munitions merchant, was arrested tonight on a charge of conspiracy, as the agent of the swindler Philip Musica in his armaments .activities. He was an important executive of the drug-manufactur* ing firm of McKesson and Robbins, and investigators hatfe identified him with the Benjamin Simon who was tried in 1929 when Musica was charged with perjury in connection with the poultry racket and the murder of Barnett Baiff. Musica disappeared and Simon was sentenced to three months' gaol.
Simon was associated with Musica during the period when the latter was changing his name to Coster. Investigators have foun< that Simon's home address is the address given on Cos-
ter's fraudulent birth certificate,
G-men hav.e established that offers of armaments were made by. agents of Musica's drug firm to Mexico, China, Bolivia, Paraguay, Dominica, Uruguay, and Colombia.
