HUMANE HELP NEEDED
(To the Editor.)
Sir, —Has our Government become so weak, it cannot practise what it preaches? Or why does it make no attempt to nelp ttu Jews in Austria and Germany whc in hundreds and thousands are suffering unspeakable miseries? Would any of us like to be robbed, beaien, imprisoned for nothing, and our children thrown into the streets? It is beyond understanding. Everyone knows how badly in need of population New Zealand is, and if the Jews could work such wonders in Palestine in a few years (see "Evening Post," November 28), if brought Li here what could they not accomplish in our fertile land? Instead of going down steadily through want of workers it would soon become the richest spot in the Pacific. —I am, etc.
JUSTICE,
