A visit was paid to Wellington recently by the general secretary of the New Zealand Rationalist Association and Sunday Freedom League, Mr. A. T Parlane of Auckland, with a view to forming a local branch. ■ An enthusiastic meeting was held in the Thespian Hall. • A general report .on the steady growth of the association and of rationalist thought in New Zealand was given by Mr. Parlane^ An address by Professor T. A. Hunter, vice-presi-dent of the association, on "Rationalism and Its Place in the Modern World" was followed with keen appreciation .and attention. A general discussion -followed the address, and as the result of a unanimous desire to form a local branch, a provisional committee was elected to proceed with organisation.
