A PREFECTS' DINNER
There was a good attendance at the annual reunion dinner of the past and present prefects of Wellington Technical College; which was held re-
cently,
Mr. Will Appleton, chairman of the Board of Governors and a former [Student of the school, said that such a large gathering spoke volumes for the spirit of the college.
The opinion that there could be no happiness without economic security and that the college gave security to all its students was expressed by the principal, Mr. R. G. Ridling, replying to the toast of the college.
The toast of past and present masters was proposed by Mr. B. Orchiston and replied to by Mr. F. H. Paul, and that of past and present students was proposed by Mr. J. H. Howell and replied to by Messrs. N. Sutton (first senior prefect) and K. Dunning (present senior prefect).
After the dinner a community sing was held.
