MIDLAND COUNTIES
ASSOCIATION MEETS
The Birmingham and Midland Counties' Association held a social recently at the N.Z.E.I. rooms. Mr. J. H. Whittaker, the president, was in the chair.
Amongst visitors met, reported the secretary, was Colonel G. S. Tomkinson, M.C., 0.8. E., of Kidderminster. The suggestion was made tha^t organisation be made for providing a better system of arranging functions to eminent visitors, having in mind the probable Centennial influx.
The president reported the receipt of three volumes of "Birmingham Faces and Places."
Musical and elocutionary items were provided by Mrs. Mathie, Misses Bibby, and Hyde, Messrs. Hoy (violin), Sharpe, and Williams, and Miss Ethel Bartley (accompanist).
