LIKELY JUVENILE TALENT
While some of the Riccarton two-year-olds have been tried, with varying degrees of success, there are still a number yet to be given racing experience, and if looks and conformation count for anything there are better things to come. Mrs. J. Campbell has three colts, and they will compare favourably with any of the other youngsters. So far they have had a comparatively" easy time, but they are all shaping well. An unnamed brown colt by Shambles from Quality, thus a full-brother to a good but ill-fated stayer iin Vintage, is a commanding youngster built on generous lines which immediately attract attention. He was put into work much later than many of the others and is likely to be given plenty of time. This youngster is owned by Mr. D. W. Westenra. Trumpeter Sound, which will race in Mrs. J H. Grigg's colours, is a halfbrother by Night Raid to Concertpitch and Irish Fiddle, being from the Master-
