HERE AND THERE

Clyde Quay School.

A jubilee dance at the Oddfellows' Hall on Saturday, December 17, will be one of the major attractions at the forthcoming jubilee celebrations of the Clyde Quay School. An enthusiastic committee is working energetically to ensure a thoroughly enjoyable evening, for all those present. Tickets may be obtained at Mr. Andrew Williams's music salon, Manners Street, and any farther information may be obtained by ringing the secretary, Mr. J. K. Johannesson, telephone 50-326.

Luncheon Party.

A very cheerful hour was spent at the Pioneer Club yesterday when Mrs. J. A. Doctor was the guest of honour at a luncheon party given by Miss E. J. Ford. The table was attractively decorated with very dark red roses arranged in crystal bowls, and also in trails down the centre of the table. Each guest was the recipient of a posy, and Mrs. Doctor, whose birthday it was, received a bunch of red roses and the many good wishes of her friends. A delicious luncheon was served. The guests included Mesdames Cramond, Mazengarb, Macdonald. Wilson, Townley, Boyd, Martin, Simpson, Misses Cooper, Shaw, and Newton.
