COMPULSION URGED

(By Telegraph.) (Special to the "Evening Post.") NEW PLYMOUTH, This Day. A Dominion-wide petition urging the Government to adopt compulsory military training was advocated at a meeting of the Hawera branch of the Defence League,-and a recommendation to that effect will be sent to the headquarters of the league. The branch suggests that signatures to the petition should be obtained after a national lecture campaign.
