RELIGIOUS SERVICES. LECTURE ON BIBLE TRUTH (God willing), 10.0. F. HALL, ALLEN STREET (opp • Paramount. Courtenay Place), SUNDAY, at 7 p.m. Subject: "GREAT AND PRECIOUS PROMISES" "WHEREBY ARE GIVEN UNTO US EXCEEDING GREAT AND PRECIOUS'PROMISES: THAT BY THESE YE MIGHT BE PAKTAKEHS OF THE DIVINE NATURE." (2 Peter 1:4). The object of this lecture is to show from the Scriptures that some of the "exceeding great and precious promises'' in which true Christians must exhibit faith before they can hope to become '"partakers .of the Divine nature" are:—>. 1. THE "exceeding great and precious promise" that Jesus Christ, will return to the earth literally and in person. (Matt. 23:37-39, John 14:3, Acts 1:11, Acts 3:19-21, 1 Thess. 1:10, Hebs. 9:28, James 5:7, Rev. 1:7). 2. THE "exceeding great and precious promise" that Jesus Christ is coming to abolish every existing system of Government upon earth and to establish one universal kingdom—THE KINGDOM OF GOD—with Christ Himself as King. (Matt. 6:10, Rev. 11:15, Dan. 2:44, Hag. 2:22, Dan. 7: 13-14, Isa. 9:6, Isa. 24:23, Jer. 3:17, Zech. 9:10, Zech. 14:9, Acts 17:31, Phil. 2:10, Rev. 11:15). 3. THE "exceeding . great and precious promise" that then "the earth shall be filled with the glory of the Lord" and "all families of the earth blessed." (Numbs. 14:21, Gen. 12:3, Gen. 22:18, Psa. 67:5, Psa. 72, Isa. 2, Isa. 11, Jer. 23:5, Micah 4:1-4, Hab. 2:14, Hag. 2:7, Zech. 2:11, Zech. 8:22, Zech; 14:16, Matt. 19:28, Luke 2:14). 4. THE "exceeding great and precious promise" that dead believers will at Christ's coming be subjects of a "re- ' surrection from among the dead." (John 11:25, Rev. 1:18, Matt. 16:18, 1 Thess. 4:16, John 5:28-29, Dan. 12:2, Rev. 11:18, Job 19:25-27, Psa. 17:15, Psa. 71:20, Isa. 26:19, Phil. 3:11). 5. THE "exceeding great and precious promise" that accepted believers will at Christ's coming and after resurrection receive the gift of eternal life (i.e., an immortal body—the Divine nature) then to be associated with' Christ in the Government of the coming Kingdom of God on earth. (Roms. 6:23, 1 Cor. 15:19-23, 1 Cor. 15:51-54, Phil. 3:20-21, Roms. 7:23, 1 John 3:2; Luke 20:35-36, Matt. 25:34, Luke 12:32, Dan. 7:18, 22, 27, Rev. 20:6, Rev. 5:9-10, Rev. 2:26-27, 1 Cor. 6:2, 2 Tim. 2:12). "FOR WHAT? IF SOME DID NOT BELIEVE? SHALL THEIR UNBELIEF MAKE THE FAITH ."OF. GOD WITHOUT EFFECT? GOD FORBID: YEA, LET GOD BE TRUE, BUT EVERY MAN A LIAR." (Roms. 3:3-4). Questions invited. "THE HANDWRITING ON THE "THE HANDWRITING ON THE WALL." WALL." DON'T FAIL TO, HEAR- THIS STIRRING SPEAKER. ALEXANDRA HALL, 86 Abel Smith St. WHY CHRIST MUST COME AGAIN. THE SECOND REASON why Christ must come, is to fulfil God s promises to Israel. In Hosea 2.4,5 we read that the children of Israel shall abide many days without a King and without a prince, etc. Then in the latter days they shall return and seek the Lord their God and David His King. He whom they delivered to be crucified, and said, blood be on us and on our children, is coming back to reign over them for ever and ever. In Rev. 1:7 we read, Behold He cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see Him, and they also which pierced Him." They shall j say, Lo, this is our God, we have waited for Him, and He will save us; this is the Lord, we have waited for Him, we will be glad and rejoice in His Salvation." Isaiah 25:9. They said, "We will not.have> Thisi Man to reign over us." Luke 10:14. The religious leaders said, "This Man feceiveth sinners and eateth with them." Luke 15:2. The royal proclamation goes forth, "Be it known unto you, that through, This Man, is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins; and by Him all that believe are* justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified, by the law of Moses." Acts 13.38 39. Sinner, "will you go with This Man?" Gen. 24:58. Please write F. J. Cross, 44 Rakau Road, E2. HE New Teacher of the world says: This is an age of human degradation, mentally, morally, and physically failing, and falling lower every day. FEAR and HATRED," with its special literature, goes rampart over the earth. But, with the wireless and the voice of logic and reason., we should eventually catch the nigger in the wood pile.
