EXHIBITION MUSIC

(To the Editor.)

Sir, —I wish heartily to endorse the observations made by Mr. L. D. Austin in the "Evening Post" of November 18. No doubt those in charge of the Centennial Exhibition are well aware of the tremendous part that can be taken by music in such an important event; but, so far as I am aware, no definite musical programme for 1940 has been placed before the public. * May I suggest that an endeavour be made to induce the famous conductor Leopold Stokowski to visit this country professionally during the Centenary?—l am, etc.,
