Pressure has risen considerably in the south and is now relatively uniform over the Dominion. A small, weak depression is crossing the centre of the Is'orth Island this morning, while a much larger one is advancing from the western Tasman Sea. The strong westerly to south-westerly winds ~0 gales which prevailed yesterday morning have decreased, and winds are now light or moderate in force and rather variable in direction. Although somewhat changeable with a few light showers, the weather has been .mainly fair to fine, but rain ha 6 set in this morning in Taranaki.
