Sir Thomas Inskip, Minister of Defence, speaking at Eedes today, said that Mr. Chamberlain's effort had xin'doubtedly met with a bad check during the last few days, but it was a noble effort. He had no desire to divide the German Government from the German people, but he found it very difficult to believe that the German people approved of the appalling treatment of j .innocent Jewish people. . j "We do not believe that such a policy can triumph," he said.
