ROYAL VISIT TO U.S.A.

PROVIDING ACCOMMODATION

MONTREAL, October 31.

The Washington correspondent of the United Press says that Mrs. Roosevelt, at a Press conference, said that if King George and Queen Elizabeth had no desire to stay at the White House during their Washington visit, she would not offer any objection to their occupying "some great mansion" such as other monarchs have occupied while here, and the necessary arrangements would be made,

The observation arose when a report was brought to her attention that "certain dowagers" considered the White House inadequately equipped to entertain royalty, but she concluded that the problem, if it arose, would be handled by the British Embassy and the State Department.
