A SWEDISH "CHINESE."
Charles Morgan, who is dramatic critic for the London "Times," has written a play, "The Flashing Stream," which had recent London presentation. The cast was headed by Margaret Rawlings, who was in New Zealand a few years ago in "The Barretts of Wimpole Street" and "Happy and Glorious," in which she was co-star-red with Barry K. Barnes (now a famous film star and married to Diana Churchill), and Godfrey Tearle, who also managed the production. Mrs. Charles Morgan, wife of "The Times" critic, is part-author with Laurie Lister of the play "She Was Too Young," in which the New Zealand actress, Marie Ney, recently made a triumphant success, with Edmund Gwenn, Katie Johnson, Ann Todd, Dorothy Hyson (talented daughter of Dorothy Dickson, a well-known London actress), Barry Sinclair, Esme Percy, and Alan Webb. The piece was presented at the Wyndham Theatre in August and promised well. Mrs. Morgan writes under "the name of Hilda Vaughan. The Morgans are well known people in London's theatre world. '
