HOARDING SEATS

PUBLIC PROTEST PROPOSED

'A protest against hoarding seats about the city was raised at the monthly meeting of the Hataitai Municipal Electors' Association, and on the motion of Mr. Levy it was decided to make application to the Wellington Beautifying Society tp call a public meeting to protest against the continued erection of these seats.

The meeting was presided over by Mr. R. H. Boys. The various requirements of the district were reviewed and a list was compiled for submission to the City Council. It was decided also to make an application to the City Council to alter the position of the street lights on the east side of Huia Road to lighten up the sweep in the road, which is at present left in darkness.
