ST. JOHN AMBULANCE PARADE
The annual inspection of the St. John Ambulance Brigade will be held on the Haitaitai Sports Ground on Saturday at 2.30 p.m. It is anticipated that between 250 and 300 members will be on parade. The order of proceedings will be as follows: —Inspection display of ambulance work and march past. Music will be supplied by the -Band.

SYNOPSIS OF LASI 24 HOURS.
The extensive depression which yesterday lay over the Tasman Sea has moved on to the Dominion, and cyclonic centres, the southern one of which is very deep, are located this morning near Auckland and Stewart Island. Winds have become north-easterly to northerly generally. Yesterday afternoon, they were strong along the east coat of the South Island, but are now light to moderate, except from Taranaki northwards. Dull and misty weather with rain has set in overnight in most western districts and in the >far north and south, while elsewhere there is increasing cloud. Temperatures havo been mild.
