STRICKLAND WINS BOUT

LONDON, October 25.

The New Zealand heavyweight boxer Maurice Strickland scored a whirlwind victory at Plymouth today over the German Erwin Klein, the referee stopping the fight in the fourth round when the German was unconscious after being six times down in the preceding rounds.

George Cook, the veteran Australian, was disqualified at Nottingham for striking Jack Robinson in the ninth round after the bell.
