TRAM AND LORRY COLLIDE

INVERCARGILL, October. 25,

When a tram and motor-truck collided in Yarrow Street this afternoon, Alfred Henry White, aged 58, driver of the tram, received injuries which placed him on the seriously ill list at the hospital.

The front part of the tram, which struck the side of the truck, was stove it, and the car itself thrown from the rails at an angle of 45 degrees The lorry, which was carrying a heavy load, was almost undamaged^
