A SUDETEN GOEBBELS

Dr. Sebekovsky, Sudeten German propaganda chief, who took part in the conversations with Lord Runciman, is in appearance rather like Dr. Goebbels, to whom he owes both inspiration and technique. He is younger than most of the.' Sudeten leaders, but has been in the movement for several years. He was responsible for the communiques issued nightly to the Nazi newspapers, and occasionally wrote leading articles himself. Dr. Sebekovsky's literary style is not so crisp and staccato as that of Dr. Goebbels. Journalistically, however, he is far more effective than most of his Sudeten colleagues, whose speeches he usually prepares. It was he who edited the official version of Herr Henlein's famous Karlsbad speech, which defined the demands of the Sudeten, .Germans.
