The best gross score recorded in the Rangimarie Club's qualifying round on Saturday was that of J. Nash, 75. The best net score was that of T. James, 81, 15—66. A bogey event yasterday morning was won by L. Bradley, 3 up. A fourbaU bogey in the afternoon was won by Strickland and Bush, 6 up. Next came Croxton and Dunn, 4 up. In the first round of the Winter Cup championship, Nash beat Tunnell, 7 and 5; James beat Richardson, 6 and 5; Francis beat Aitken, 6 and 5; Strickland beat Findlay, 1 up. In the second round, Nash beat James, 5 and 4; Strickland beat Francis. 3 and 2. \ In the first flight handicap competition Selby beat Oliver, 4 and 3; Watt beat Croxton, 2 and 1; Macfarlane beat Rowntree, 4 and 3; Jackson beat Dunn, 5 and 4. Second Flight—First round: Lister beat Kennedy at the nineteenth: Bradley beat Petley, 6 and 5; Bush beat Johnston, 4 and 3; Johnsen beat Mooney, 1 up.
