GENERAL MOTORS SHIELD

Another enjoyable day's golf was spent .by the wholesale motor traders, tyre companies, and oil companies at the Hutt Club on Thursday. The winner of the General Motors Shield for the month was the Vacuum Oil Company with' 128 points, Atlantic <Union Oil Company and Shell Oil Company tieing for second with 119 points each. The individual stableford resulted in the first prize being divided between J. Hornabrook (Atlantic Union) and C. D. Gordon. (Vacuum Oil), with 36 /points each. J. Batchelor (Combined Tyres) was second with 35 points, and S. . Vine (Vacuum Oil), third with 34 points.
