Mrs. Guy Johnston has returned to Wellington after a holiday visit to England.
Miss Elizabeth Loe left this morning for Havelock North. She will be one of the judges at the final festival of the British Drama League at Hastings on Wednesday, when teams from Dannevirke, Hamilton, and Timaru will compete.
Having completed her course of florestry, Miss Penelope Blundell, Heretaunga, is leaving for home on November 4, states "The Post's" London correspondent, writing on . October 6. She will cross by the Duchess of Atholl, spend a week in Canada, and -connect at Vancouver with the Aorangi for Wellington.
Mr. and Mrs. F. D. Herrick, Hawke's Bay, are visiting their daughter, Mrs. John Elworthy, South Canterbury.
Mrs. A. C. McKillop, Christchurch, who is the guest of Miss Muriel Wiley, Heretaunga, will compete in the provincial golf championships this week.
Mrs. John Holderness, Hastings, and Miss Rachael CotteriU are visiting Wellington, and will attend the Marsden School jubilee celebrations.
Sir Cyril and Lady Ward and Miss Theresa Ward, Christchurch, are passengers by the Strathmore, states "The Post's" London correspondent. They had intended to join her at Marseilles, in order to be present at the London wedding of Miss Mina Ward to Briga-dier-General Michael J. Lenihan, but in view of the crisis they joined the ship at Tilbury on September 30.
Mrs. N. McNair Thomson, Levin, is making a few days' visit to Wellington.
Miss Joan Preston, Christchurch, who is visiting Wellington for the diamond jubilee celebrations of Marsden School which will begin at the end of this week, is the guest of Mrs. J. W. G. Brodie, Tinakori Road.
Miss Qynthia Smith, Ohariu, who visited Wellington for the weekend, returned to Hawke's Bay today.
Mrs. Alan Boon, Christchurch, is visiting Wellington for the Wellington provincial golf tournament.
Mrs. R. W. Watson, Durban, who will return to Wellington by the Wanganella tomorrow, will be the v guest of her sister, Mrs. Lance Hills, Ngaio.
Mrs. A. K. Firth, Christchurch, who has been visiting her mother in Sydney, will return south at the end of this week. Miss Nora Firth, who accompanied her mother, will visit Melbourne for the Melbourne Cup Meeting. . .
Miss Sheila Feltham, Raetihi, is making a brief visit to Wellington.
Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Craig, Lower Hutt, called at the High Commissioner's Office on the eve of their departure from London by the Strathmore on September 30, reports "The Post's" correspondent.

Miss J. Fenwick, Inglewood, is spend* ing. a fortnight's holiday in Wellington.
Miss Nell Cohen, Masterton, is visiting Wellington.
Mrs. A. H. Sinel, Wellington,, returned "to the Dominion by the Rangitiki on Thursday after an overseas visit.
Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Thompson, Hong Kong, who are visiting Dean and Mrs. Haggitt, Nelson, will be the guests in Christchurch this week of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Stronach.
Miss Margaret Reardon, Auckland, has left for visits to Hawke's Bay and Wellington.
Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Hobbs, Christchurch, will arrive at Wellington tomorrow to visit their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. D. Hobbs, Hill Street. They will stay with relatives in the Wairarapa and at Feilding before returning south.
Mrs. M. H. Godby, Mrs. W. Toomey, Misses • Jeaji Horwell, Valmai Fleming, Helen Buchanan, Edna WhiteParsons, and Eileen Nutt,, who have been in New Plymouth for the Dominion golf championship meeting, will be visitors to Heretaunga for the provincial championship tournament, which begins tomorrow.
Mr,, and Mrs. J. E. dimming, Matamata, have returned to London after a tour of England and Scotland, states "The - Post's" representative, writing' on October 3. Relatives were visited in Wigtownshire, and Northumberland. The return journey to New Zealand will be made in the Orion, which left England on October 8.
Commander and Mrs. W. G. Hewson and'family, formerly of Wellington and who' left the Dominion in May for Europe, have been spending several weeks at St. Jean de Luz in France. Mrs. Hewson went ' to Marseilles to meet her brother,' Mr. Jack Bx*isted, who flew to Europe from Sydney. With him, she flew to Geneva, where she found much to interest her. On the beach at St. Jean de Luz she casually met a Wellington friend, Miss Enid Bell, who has been spending many months abroad. Commander and Mrs. Hewson are now in London, staying at a hotel in Richmond Hill, the manager of which is the well-known tennis player, formerly Miss Betty Nuthall.
. Mrs. K. Prebble (Pahiatua) and Mrs. Marnane (Queensland) are among the guests at the Grand Hotel.
Guests at the Royal Oak Hotel- include Mesdames A. S. Wilder and W. B. Fisher (Waipukurau), M. Manson and G. McDowell (New Plymouth), and N. J. Greenwood (Palmerston North).
Mesdames Symes. (Napier), Fospender (Dunedin), W. Richmond (Hastings), D. McHardy (Waipawa), A. Tonkin (Dargaville), W. McCaig and C. Jamieson (Auckland), and Miss Jan Cochrane (London) are guests at the Midland Hotel.
