HAUGHTY WINNER BETTER
Haughty Winner, a member of C. C. McCarthy's team at Kiccarton, has ■been suffering recently from heel bug trouble, but he is now on the mend again, and, though not sprinting yet, he is getting through plenty of solid exercise. He is otherwise, in great heart and it should not take much fast work to fit him for racing. Possibly he will be ready for the New.Zealand Cup Meeting. • ■■ Improvident is another member of this trainer's team who has had. the same trouble, but he too has now recovered.
