PIGS, POULTRY, AND PRODUCE,

The Dominion Auctioneering Co., Ltd., Palmerston North, reports a keen demand for all classes of pigs at their usual weekly - sale. Heavyweight porkers sold from 50s to 555; choice weaners, from 24s to 27s 6d; and light baconers, to 60s. Poultry was in heavy supply, with a brisk demand. We quote as follows:— Pigs.—Best weaners, 24s to 27s 6d; small weaners, 20s to "235; slips, 26s to 28s; stores, 28s to 345; heavy porkers, 50s to 555; light porkers, 39s to 48s; light baconers, to £3. Poultry.—Best W.L. hens, 7s to, 7s 6d a pair; heavy 8.0. hens, 9s to 10s 2d; light hens, 5s to 6s 6d; roosters, 4s to 6s; ducks, 5s to 7s 2d; nine-week-old pullets, 3s 4d each; eight-week-old cockerels, 3s to 4s 3d dozen; ducklings, 9d to Is 3d each; turkey hens, to 10s each.

Produce.—Apples: Delicious, 6s to 8s 6d; Frimley Beautys, 7s to 8s 6d; Rome Beautys, 7s 6d to 8s 6d; Granny Smiths, 6s to 8s; Stunners, 6s to Bs. Pears: R.
