AUCKLAND LEADS

DRUNK-IN-CHARGE CASES

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, This Day. Six arrests were made during the weekend on charges of being in a state of. intoxication while in charge of motor-cars. Three of these arrests were made on Saturday between 5 and 8 p.m., two shortly before midnight, and one yesterday afternoon. This is believed to be a record for a weekend in any place in New Zealand.

The six drivers arrested were brought before a Justice of the Peace at a special Court held at the Police Station, and were remanded on bail to appear in the Police Court later.

There are nine such charges pending before, the Police Court at Auckland.
