The second day of the Gore Racing Club's Meeting opened; before a large crowd in warm, sunny weather. The track was excellent after slight rain. Results:— •

Pukerau Highweight Handicap, £145; 81 furlongs.—l-1 Bow Street, 9.10, 1; 2-2 Hunting Chorus, 9.2, 2; 5-5 McHeath,, 11.1, 3. All started. Nose; length. Time, lmin 52 4-ssec.

Waimea Hack Handicap, £145; 6 fur-longs.—s-5 Gipsy Fair, 7.11, 1; 6-6 New Note, 8.7, 2; 9-7 Thermidor, 8.3, 3. Scr,: Spendthrift. Three lengths; half a length. Time, liriin 16 4-ssec.

Spring Handicap, £250; H miles — 4-4 Valantua, 7.12, 1; 3-3 Petersham, 8.8, 2; 7-7 Pink Robe, 7.10, 3. Scr.: Night Wings, Cititilla. Three-quarters of a length; one length. TimeV:.2min Bsec.
