FULL AGREEMENT
WAREHOUSE EMPLOYEES
Complete agreement on an award to come into force from today, and for a period of one year was reached in the Dominion soft-goods warehouse employees' dispute, the hearing of which was completed before the Conciliation Commissioner, Mr. M. J. Reardon, yesterday. ,
Senior male and female rates have been increased by 5s a week, with an increase of 10s for seniors with 12 or more years' experience. Hours of work are, as in the previous, award, 42, but the workers' union stipulated that their acceptance was without prejudice, leaving it the right to ask for a 40-hour week in- future awards. The minimum wage for city and countrytravellers was fixed at £5 12s 6d a week, but the latter are not bound by any other than the wages clauses in the award.
Annual holidays have been, increased by a week.
