CHILDREN'S PARTY
MAKOGAI SISTERS
A very attractive children's party (plain and fancy dress) will be held by the Makogai Sisters, Aurora Terrace, in St. Francis Hall, Hill Street, next Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. The proceeds are to be devoted to the sick Sisters returned from the Makogai leper station. A splendid programme of games and community singing under the direction of Mrs. C. McDonald, assisted by artists from 2ZB, has been arranged.
During the afternoon coloured slides depicting the life' of the children on Makogai Island, with a running commentary by one of the Sisters, will be shown. Parents are asked to help this cause by arranging to send their children to the party. Prizes have been donated for the different costumes, including best poster, most original, and best dressed boy or girl. A small charge for entrance will be made.
Never fill a kettle overnight to save time in the morning, or with water direct from the tap. Water that has been in a lead or iron pipe all night is not wholesome.
