LONDON FROZEN MEAT MARKET
The Bank of New Zealand, produce department, has received the following advice from its London office as at the close of business this week:—
The market for wethers is dull and weaker values are ruling for ewes owing to lack of demand. There is a moderate demand for lambs, and the market is rather easier. Smaller supplies of chilled beef have caused prices to harden.
Wethers, light 4Jd to s|d per ib, heavy, 4d to 4Jd; ewes, 2|d to 3£d; lambs, 2's 7id to 7 -7-Bd, B's 7?d to 7.7-Bd, 4's, 7 3-8 dto 7£d, seconds 6£d to 6 7-8 d; chilled hinds sjjd to 6J-d, fores 3 7-8 dto 4 l-Bd.
