AUSTRALIAN ALLOY STEEL.

The chairman of Australian Alloy Steel, Ltd. (Mr. J.D. Miller), at the re* cent annual meeting in Sydney, said that there had been a remarkable improvement in the finances of the company and of its subsidiary, Hadnelds (Australia), Ltd., since the present board assumed control in February. After referring to the improvement in results in the latter half of the year compared with the six months ended December 31, Mr. Miller said that special attention had been given to the sales organisation.
