The total amount applied for in tenders for £40,000,000 of Treasury bills was £77,265,000. The average rate per cent, for bills at three months was 13s 8.91 d, against 15s 5.57 d a week ago.
At the corresponding date a year ago applications for £45,000,000 of Treasury bills totalled £86,320,000, and the average rate per cent, for bills at three months was 10s 4.87 d.
