The Minister of Education (the Hon. P. Fraser) attended the funeral of the late Hon. A. D. McLeod at Martinborough today. On Monday evening Mr, Fraser will leave for the South Island. On Tuesday he will opeii a new school at Pleasant Point, and on. Wednesday the new block at the Waipiata Sanatorium. "On Saturday, he will lay the foundation-stone of the new training college at Dunedin, and will return to Wellington early the following week. „ " . ;■ ."•''•

Mr. Edgar W. Herbert, 8.P.E., arrived in Wellington today from Sydney, where he is a director of the Sydney College of Physical Education and Recreational Leadership for Boys. Mr. Herbert will conduct a short refresher course training school for the physical directors of the Y.M.C.A.S of New-Zea-land.
Lieutenant-Colonel J. H. Will, Major _A L Noakes, Major M. Harris, Captain. G H. Leslie, and Lieutenant G. B. Palmer, of Auckland, are attending a course of instruction at Trentham.
Mr. W. Goodfellow, Mr. B. H. Mackenzie, and Mr. W. Marshall, of tha directorate of Amalgamated Dames, Limited, leave Auckland by the Awatea today to attend, the annual meeting of Empire Dairies, Limited.
