WINTER CUP TOURNEY
H. A. BLACK'S GOOD ROUND
Blustery conditions combined with heavy showers of rain produced generally high scores in the first qualifying round of the annual Winter Cup tournament conducted by the Hutt Golf Club this morning.
A good field, including some of Wellington's best-known golfers, has entered.
The best score was a 75 returned by H. A. Black (Miramar). He took 37 out, including birdie 3's at the eighth, and ninth, and 38 home. H. M. Elliott and W. G. Fisher were next with 78.
