Levin and- Company, Ltd., have received the following cable from their London agents, dated October 20, giving North Island frozen meat quotations as follows: —Down lambs, none offering; crossbred lambs, 28/361b 7 7-8 d per lb; 36/421b 7fd per lb; second-quality lambs, average 30/311b 63d per lb; wether sheep, under 481b 5 l-8d per lb, 48/561b 4fd per lb, 56/641b 4&d per lb, 64/721b 44d per lb; ewes, under 481b 3£d per lb, 48/561b 2 7-8 d per lb, 56/641b 2 7-8 d per lb, 64/721b 2fd per lb; New Zealand prime ox beef, 160/2201b, none offering. Compared with last week's quotations crossbred lamb 28/361b and second-quality lamb l-8d per lb lower; wethers, under 481b, and 56/641b, Jd per lb lower, 48/561b and 64/721b l-8d per lb lower; ewes, l-8d per lb lower. Others unchanged. The market is quiet and easier all round.
