MADE A LIFE MEMBER

General regret was expressed at the annual meeting of the Hutt Valley Swimming and Life-saving Club last evening that the club had lost the services of Mr. W. A. Bousfleld ("Bousie"). The annual report stated that in addition to being the club's starter and handicapper he was also chairman of the club and that his pleasant and cheerful manner together with his capacity for work at all carnivals would be sadly missed by members of the club. The chairman of the meeting, Mr H. G. Edwards, and the secretary, Mr' N. N. Oldershaw* endorsed the remarks' made in the report. On the motion of Mr. H. Warburton,. seconded bv Mr K. Coles, Mr. W. A. Bousfield was unanimously eii&cWd a life memI ban.
