PERSONAL NOTES

Mrs. I. G. Glennie has returned to her nomc at Parnell, Auckland, from. Wellington.

Mrs. Guy Williams, Masterton, is visiting New Plymouth for the golf championship finals.

Mrs. Holmes Warren, Wairarapa, who has. been paying a short visit to her parents in Christchurch, arrived at Wellington this morning on her way home.

Mr. and Mrs. Sinclair Gray, who since their marriage have been living in the South Island, returned to Wellington this morning to take up their residence. At present they are staying at the Berkeley Hotel, Oriental Terrace.

Mrs. Frank Holdsworth, Kelburn, is visiting Christchurch, and is the guest of Mrs. A. S. Taylor.

Dr. and Mrs. John Plimmer, Willis Street, left today for a fortnight's visit to Rotorua. Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Cracroft Wilson, Christchurch, will leave tomorrow night for Wellington, to attend the Government House Ball and the races. They will return home on Sunday.

Miss Anita Webster, Auckland, is the geust of Mrs. A.- Nimmo, Hataitai.

Mrs. E. H. Northcroft, who has been spending some weeks in the North Island, returned to Christchurch yesterday.

Mr. and Mrs. Carlton Kain, Orari, Timaru, have left for a visit to the North Island to attend the Hawke's Bay Agricultural and Pastoral Show.

Mr. and Mrs. H. S. Vestey, Cashmere. Hills, will arrive at Wellington by the inter-island steamer tomorrow.

Mr. and Mrs. Peter Sergei, who have been making a brief visit to Blenheim, have returned to Hawke's Bay.

Mrs. P. H. Brown, Christchurch, is a guest at the Hotel St. George.

Mrs. D. Sommerville, Mrs. N. L. Phillips (Palmerston North), and Mrs. H. B. Gibson (Eltham) are among the guests at the Empire Hotel.

Mesdames Spence (Christchurch) and D. Cox (Hawera), and Miss M. E. Maloney (Dunedin) are staying at the Grand Hoteli

Miss T. Robertson is a Wellington visitor to Auckland.

Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Moston have returned to Wellington from Geneva, where Mr. Moston, assistant secretary of the Labour Department, attended the International Labour Conference.

Miss Elizabeth Besant, Christchurch, will visit Wellington for the Government House ball on Friday.

Mrs. E. J. Mackinnon, Napier, who arrived at Wellington today, will remain for race week.

Mrs. C. W. Higgins, Christchurch, is spending several weeks in Wellington.

Mrs. K. N. Andrews and Mrs. J. Garcia, New Plymouth, have left for a motor tour to Napier and Wellington.

Mrs. F. S. Driller, Queen's Drive, Lyall Bay, is staying with her daughter, Mrs. J. C Hendren, at Dunedin. She will return home early in November, accompanied by Mr. Driller, who left for Picton. today, to motor through the South Island.

Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Moses and Miss Rosetta Moses, Auckland, are visiting Wellington and are staying at the Hotel St. George.

Mrs. Tanner, Wellington, returned by the Aorangi after a trip through [England, the United States, and Canada.

Recent visitors from Wellington to the Chateau include Group-Captain the Hon. R. A. Cochrane and Mrs. Cochrane, Mr. and Mrs. Comerford, Mr. and Mrs. Creighton, the Misses Burns, Messrs. Ferguson Hogg, H. M. Bridgman, and I. Forlong.

Mrs. H. R. Cowper (Masterton) and Mrs. Howard Jackson (Carterton) are staying at the Royal Oak Hotel.
