Mr. H. Leslie-Melville, a former New* Zealander who has spent many years in. Southern Rhodesia as a mining: en* gineer, arrived at Auckland by the Tasman on Tuesday to revisit the: Dominion for the first-time in 45 years!. He was accompanied by his wife. Mr, Leslie-Melville's father, the late Mr. D. S. Melville, was general manager of the Union Bank of Australia, Limited, at Wellington, from 1885 to 1891, and Mr. Leslie-Melville was educated at Wellington and Wanganui.
The Rev. Father A. Price, a New Zealander who is attached to St. Columban's Missionary Society -in the Philippine Islands, arrived- att Auckland by the Wanganella from Sydney yesterday to spend a holiday in the* Dominion.
General Sir John Burnett-Stuart; a retired officer of the British Army, who has been touring New Zealand after attending the recent British Commonwealth Relations Conference in Australia, will leave Auckland by the Tamaroa for Southampton tomorrow."
Mr. Justice Quilliam, who hais beea conducting the business of the Supreme Court in Auckland, returned to Wellington by the Limited express today.
Mr. N. Lishner, of Dunedin, ProGrand Master of the Grand Lodge of New Zealand, returned by the Awatea today from Sydney after having represented New Zealand at the install lation of Lord Gowrie as Grand Master of the Masonic Order in Australfa. He was accompanied by Mrs: .Lishiier.
The Leader of the Opposition (the Hon. A. Hamilton) will leave Wellington tonight for Frankton Junction. :He is to speak at Hamilton on Friday, and on the same evening will deliver a 15----minute broadcast speech from Auckland. He will speak later at the Auckland Town Hall, and will return to Wellington by air. -
Mr. A. N. Leslie, chief assistant to the management of the Union Steani Ship Company, accompanied by ;M_rs, Leslie and their son, returned .to Wellington by the Awatea today after a holiday visit to Australia. .-

Mr. Lloyd Had joined the association in 1915, was a member of the committee? firom 1915 to 1923, and. a vice-president tfrdm 1921 to 1928. Both men had given notable service to the cause of motorists-amd motoring.
