DOMINION TOUR
QUEENSLAND BOWLERS
:. Arrangements are now being made for a team of Queensland bowlers to tour New Zealand this season. They are expected to arrive at Wellington on January 9.
Mr. J. G. Redmond, a member of the Wellington Bowling Club, who returned by the Awatea today from a visit to Queensland and New South Wales, stated to a "Post" reporter that the manager Of the team, Which will be an Unofficial one, will be Mr. F. C. Ker, honorary secretary of the Isis Bowling Club, Childers. Mr. Ker managed the Queensland team which toured the Dominion in 1937. The personnel; of the team, which includes several ladies, will be drawn from clubs in districts separated by over 1000 miles—from Mackay in the north to Toowoomba and Dalby in the south of .the State. Mr. Redmond is to act as the New : Zealand agent for the visitors.
Mr. Redmond added that Mr. Colin Campbell, president of the Queensland Bowling Association,.. asked that his good. wishes should be conveyed to New Zealand bowlers.
