HOW DO THEY KNOW?
(To the Editor.)
Sir,—ls it too late for me to be informed on two matters which have puzzled me for just on three years? (1) The Labour Government asks for reports on such things as social security schemes and butter prices from people who have made these subjects a life study as practical men. It then alters the decisions before putting them into action. It says "it knows better," but how does it know? (2) The Labour Government says that the structure «ye and our fathers have built up iif New Zealand over a hundred years is not at all what they approve of. They know that a new order of things (with a very non-British flavour) is the only good order, but how do they know? One respects experience, but not the unblushing experimenter — especially when he experiments at other people's expense.—l am. etc., EXPERTO CREDE.
