PORT WHANGAREI DELAYED

AUCKLAND, October 12,

When a fault in the compressor occurred as the vessel was passing Devonport on her way to Wellington tonight, the Watchlih Line motor-ship Port Whangarei was forced to return to the wharf. No serious damage was caused, and, following repairs to be made overnight, the ship is expected to resume her voyage in the morning.
