The stall-holders were as follows:— Cakes, Mesdames Jam.es ' Muht, X-G. Eggers; flowers and plants, ;S4esdikmes L. Cohen, C. Atkinson, C. Howden; sweets, Mrs. P. B. Marshall; -.produce, Mrs. H. Pell; preserves, Mrs. R. Perrin; novelties,? Mrs.-A. E. Turner; oonipetir tions, Mrs. R. Hill. The tables looked most attractive, being decorated with flags and flowers The secretary, Mrs. P. B. Marshall,, and her two assistants; were responsible for the arrangements. Miss "Zemr had charge of a gaily-paint-ed wheelbarrow laden with pot-plants which found appreciative patrons. The winners of the competitions were Mrs. G. Eggers (cake), Mrs. H. Pell (book), and Mrs. -W..H; Turner (box of chocolates).

Whenever the last of the cake happens to have dried up. turn it upside down and ice the new top with fresh, icing. It seems that the. whole cake is mellowed by this process: and can be served. without' apologies. :
