33 CLUB TOURNEY

Men engaged in the film industry took part in the annual tournament conducted by the 33 Club at the Hutt links on Tuesday. The weather was fine, and, as the links were in first-class order, a most enjoyable day was spent. Following are the results: — Schureck Cup.—M. Walworth, 146 net; runner-up, B. Ranish, 147 net. Morning Medal.—A. Tong (Hastings), 74 net; runner-up, G. Ashford (Wanganui), 75 net, on count back from J. R. Trayes (Paraparaumu) and P. Clarry (Wellington). Afternoon Medal. — C. Lambert. (Lower Hutt), 70 net; runner-up, B. Kiernan (Greytown), on count back from J. Turley (Petone). Visitors' Trophy, over 36 holes. —M. Tombs (Palmerston North), 152 net.

24-handicap Players.—P, (Wellington), 162 net. ' Farmers' Trophy.—R. A. Usmar (Wellington) . The final of the 33 Club knock-out competition, which is played for during the season, was won by J. R. Trayes, with A. Regan runner-up. The trophies were presented on Tuesday evening at the club by Mr. F. J. Ansell and Mr. E. R. Rutledge.

Mr. Ansell said that the Schureck Cup, which had been competed for since 1934, was the means of bringing members of the film industry together in friendly competition. Mr. Rutledge also spoke.
