The results of the first round matches in the Sievwright Cup whicn were played during the weekend at the Mornington links are as follows: — J. Watkins beat AY Rerihie. 5 and 4; R. T. McElligott beat P. J. Doogan, 2 and 1; C. Aamodt beat D. B. Stratmore, 2 up; W. Taylor beat W. Charles, 3 and 2; P. Kennedy beat A. Kood, 1 up- H. J. B. Carruthers beat H. D. Wilson, 2 up; H. J. Shanks beat R H. Milne, 6 and 5; L. Cocker beat P. Satherley, 1 up. . , The second and third round will be played next weekend. The first 18 holes bogey was won by C. Wheeler all square. The second 18 holes bogey resulted in a tie between C. Eversleigh and J. Watkins, each 1 down. The 18 holes stableford was won by P, J. Doogan, 36 points.
