AUSTRALIAN MINERS
BASIS FOR SETTLEMENT OF
STRIKE

SYDNEY, This Day.
It is considered certain that the basis for settlement of the coal strike will be accepted by the miners at aggregate meetings tomorrow. The central council of the Miners* Federation and a combined meeting of unions decided to recommend to the rank and file acceptance of the formula for settlement of the dispute.
The Minister of Labour and Industry, Mr. Mair, conferred with the col-, liery proprietors, but no statement was issued.
