AUDIENCE OF TEN
The scene of several lively election meetings, Hirst's Hall, Morningside, presented almost a deserted appearance at eight o'clock last night, when Mr. W. T. Anderton, M.P., Labour candidate for Eden, was due to commence his address, states today's "New Zealand Herald." When the speaker arrived, not more than ten persons, including two policemen, were • present, and after a short time it was decided to abandon the meeting.
