GAY REBEL'S SALE

The well-performed; northern gal-loper-Gay Rebel has been purchased by Mr; E. G. Bridgenspand *he will be in future trained by: "the-well-known trotting trainer F.. J; Smith at Takanmi. <

Gay Rebel is a very free galloper, and it is expected that;the training methods of Smith will suit him admirably. Smith previously had charge of Queen Brierly, a full-sister to Master Brierly, for the McKendrick brother^ but just when she was ready-to race she became entangled in a wire fence, and the injuries received resulted in her being retired to the matrbris' paddock. Before coming to New Zealand Smith handled several gallopers .»in England and won quite.a few races.
