The New Zealand Meat Producers* Board is advised by cable from its London office that tlie shipments from Australia, South America, and South Africa to the United Kingdom during the month of September. 1938, were as follows: —Australia, Mutton- carcasses 26,036, lamb carcasses 224,310, beef (frozen) quarters 118.507. beef (chilled) quarters 30,218; South America, mutton carcasses 6824, lamb carcasses 136.835, beef (frozen) quarters 4720, beef (chilled) quarters 389,516; South Africa (including Southern Rhodesia), beef (chilled) quarters 9212. The shipments from New Zealand to the United Kingdom for the same period were as'fol^ lows:—Mutton carcasses 195,128, lamb carcasses 388,936, beef (frozen) quarters 20,622, beef (chilled) quarters 8687.
